It's been a tough but fulfilling year for Maggie's School Kenya. Turkana was hit with a major drought leaving the students and their families desperate. Maggie's School has become a crucial provider of food and supplies for the area. We had our first graduating class this year of students starting at Maggie's School in Kindergarten! Through your support, four of our top students have been sponsored to attend highschool (three boys and one girl). This is the first time these students have had a toothbrush, a mattress, or more than one pair of shoes. Also, eight months ago, all of our students were measured and new uniforms were made. Since then, conflict has escalated into a humanitarian crisis in the Turkana region, putting our kids and their families at risk. Please pray for peace and reconciliation for the area. The Kenyan government is working to resolve this conflict and penalize those responsible.
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God," (Matthew 5:9 ESV).
